Dept of Transportation

The North Carolina Department of Transportation is responsible, in coordination with other entities, for overseeing the of transportation conduits within the State, including public transportation, rail and air travel, the ferry system, and the State highway system. Additionally, it encompasses the Department of Motor Vehicles which deals with liscensing, vehicle registration, and vehicle taxes among other requirements.
